International Microorganism Day

The Department of Advanced Zoology and Biotechnology organized an activity to commemorate International Microorganism Day on 17th September 2026. As part of the celebration, a scientific debate on “Beneficial vs. Harmful Microorganisms” was conducted to create awareness among students about the diverse roles of microorganisms in human health, agriculture, industry, and the environment. Students actively participated in the debate, presenting scientific facts and arguments highlighting both the beneficial and harmful effects of microorganisms. The event concluded on an engaging note with rap performances by both groups, creatively summarizing their perspectives and adding an entertaining element to the scientific discussion.
